Presented by the Friends of The Hunt Museum Theme: Peace and Harmony

This Easter, let your creativity shine in the Friends of The Hunt Museum Colouring Competition, open to all primary school children!

Inspired by the museum’s 2025 theme of Peace and Harmony, this year’s competition invites young artists to colour a decorative ceramic rabbit from our own collection. The intricate patterns on the rabbit symbolise the balance and unity that come from working together — and the soothing, mindful nature of colouring is the perfect way to explore these ideas through art.

Whether you stick to tradition or go wild with colour, we encourage participants to add their personal touch, expressing harmony, calm, and imagination in every stroke.

 Prize:
The winner will receive a Friends of The Hunt Museum Family Pass, perfect for enjoying future visits and creative adventures at the museum with loved ones.

Launched in 1993 the Friends of the Hunt Museum have been a vital component in the establishment of the Hunt Museum and have since been a vibrant community of passionate individuals dedicated to supporting and enriching the Hunt Museum. Through fundraising, enjoyment, creativity, and a shared love of culture and learning, the Friends of the Hunt Museum strive to inspire deeper engagement with the museum’s collections, programs, and educational initiatives.

Important Dates:

  • Submission Deadline: Monday, 28 April
  • Winner Announced: Friday, 2 May

How to Take Part:

You can pick up your colouring sheet at The Hunt Museum reception over the Easter break. We’ll also have a colouring station set up in the museum with supplies for anyone who would like to create their piece on-site.

Prefer to do it at home? No problem!
You can download the colouring page here and submit your entry by sending a scan or clear photo of the finished artwork to friends@huntmuseum.com, along with the participant’s name, age, and contact information.

So grab your colours, take a deep breath, and enjoy a moment of creativity and calm as you bring our ceramic rabbit to life — celebrating Peace and Harmony with every brush, crayon, or pencil stroke.

We can’t wait to see your beautiful masterpieces!
